Lamaze breathing is a deep breathing pain management
technique, used by women who wish to experience natural
labor and childbirth. During pregnancy, Lamaze
breathing exercises are practiced so that during
labor, the mother-to-be is familiar with
important breathing techniques. These can help ease and
transfer the focus off pain - during natural
childbirth. |

PRENATAL EXERCISES
|
|
|
Postures are taught to help make pregnancy
more comfortable while preparing the body for
giving birth. Includes breath
awareness, flexibility, and yoga. |
|
|
Lamaze Philosophy of Birth |
|
|
Lamaze classes are strongly encouraged for
the first child or for anyone with
several years in between children. Lamaze
is not only about breathing and relaxation
techniques but also about educating the
mother and her support partner about the
progress of labor. |
